PROF. JINLIAN HU

Prof. JinLian HU is A pioneer, sustained and distinguished academic leader with world-wide impact in shape memory materials for textile and healthcare applicatins. As corresponding or 1st author, her publications appeared in top journals including Advanced Materials，Advanced Functional Materials, Biomaterials and Angewandte Chemie and are frequently highlighted in cover pages and journal websites. Professor Hu has been interviewed for her original work by a number of influential TV programs such as Associated Press (USA), Discovery Chanel and twice in HK TV headline news. Her work also received numerous reports in newspapers, websites and professional journals. Due to the achievements, she obtained wide recognitions such as US Distinguished Achievements award, China Elite Award and Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and Fellow of Textile Institute in UK and Fellow of HKITA in Hong Kong. Professor Hu is now the director of Laboratory of Wearable Materials for Healthcare Joint-appointed Professor in Materials Science and Engineering Department of Biomedical Engineering of City University of Hong Kong. Her research covers biomaterials, medical devices, energy therapies, digital medicine and smart polymers, fibers, textiles, and all wearables.
